All Weather Pitch Construction
There is a wide range of choice of artificial surface
A porous rubberised outdoor surface used predominantly for athletics tracks and multi-use games areas (MUGA's) where it is ideal for 5 a-side football, netball, basketball and tennis.
3rd generation pitches have become increasingly popular for contact sports such as football and rugby. There is a wide selection of synthetic carpet available manufactured with polypropylene fibres. These surfaces are laid upon porous macadam bases, with or without shock pads, depending on the playing characteristcs required. They are then filled and finished with sand and/or rubber crumb. Hockey is most commonly played on sand filled, sand dressed or water based pitches.
Porous Macadam surfaces
The traditional solution, and still popular today due to their low maintenance requirments, durability and relatively low installation cost. These surfaces can be coated with water based acrylic or water based polyurethane paint and lines can be applied according to the requirements of the chosen sport.
As of October 2013 we are a licensed distributor of Verde Sports (Cricket) Ltd and able to offer their complete range of synthetic turf cricket facilities including ECB approved systems , all constructed in accordance with strict quality guidelines and procedures.
